Project Progress:

6/25/2006 It is ready. The circuit boards have been printed and assembled. The are for sale at the $199 price. I have decided to go open source, so when you buy one you'll get a CD with the source code, schematic, a RealBASIC program used to configure and upload sound files and some other stuff.

3/26/2006 Here is an iPod movie of the talking hot box detector in action. HBDMovie.m4v If you have a faverite detector that you want to emulate, send me a transcript and I'll add it as one of the built-in styles. The setup software works on MAC and Windows.
